อาคารกระจกขนาดมหึมาอย่าง ศูนย์การประชุมจาค็อบ เค. จาวิตส์ (Jacob K. Javits Convention Center) แลนด์มาร์กสำคัญของมหานครนิวยอร์ก ตั้งอยู่บนถนนอีเลฟเวนท์ อเวนิว ระหว่างถนนสาย 34 และ 38 โดดเด่นด้วยสถาปัตยกรรมแบบ space frame ซึ่งใช้โครงเหล็กและกระจกใสครอบคลุมทั่วทั้งอาคาร ด้านนอกถูกออกแบบให้เป็นกลุ่มโครงสร้างทรงเรขาคณิตซ้อนกันเป็นชั้น ๆ คล้ายบล็อกแก้วที่ไล่ระดับสูงต่ำอย่างสมมาตร ผนังกระจกสะท้อนท้องฟ้าและสภาพแวดล้อมโดยรอบ ทำให้ตัวอาคารดูกลมกลืนไปกับบรรยากาศเมืองในขณะเดียวกันก็ดูสง่างามและทันสมัย บริเวณทางเข้าหลักมีป้ายชื่ออาคารขนาดใหญ่ “JACOB K.
