font-variant: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; text-decoration: none; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">       ครอบครัวลินคอล์นประกอบธุรกิจผลิตนมวัวและชีส โดยจะรับนมวัวคุณภาพดีจากฟาร์มวัวสายพันธุ์กลอสเตอร์ซึ่งเป็นวัวที่มีชื่อเสียงของเมืองมาผลิตและส่งขายไปทั่วเมืองโดยไม่มีส่งขายที่อื่น สินค้าของครอบครัวลินคอล์นจึงถือได้ว่าเป็นสินค้าและของฝากขึ้นชื่อของเมืองกลอสเตอร์ ใครที่มาท่องเที่ยวเมืองแห่งนี้เป็นต้องได้ซื้อเป็นของฝากติดไม้ติดมือกลับไปหรือได้ลองชิมกันทั้งนั้น ซึ่งธุรกิจของครอบครัวเขาเพิ่งเริ่มขึ้นเมื่อสมัยคุณปู่ เมื่อคุณปู่เสีย แมคคอยผู้เป็นลูกจึงมารับช่วงต่อ แม้จะเป็นธุรกิจที่ถือว่าไม่ได้เก่าแก่ แต่ก็ส่งผลให้ฐานะทางครอบครัวของตระกูลลินคอล์นนั้นดีขึ้น เรียกได้ว่ามีกินมีใช้อย่างไม่ขัดสนนั่นเอง <span style="background-color: transparent; font-variant: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; text-decoration: none; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">       บ้านของแมคเคนซีตั้งอยู่ไม่ห่างจากริมแม่น้ำมากนัก การเดินเลียบแม่น้ำในช่วงอากาศดีจึงเป็นกิจกรรมยามว่างที่เขาชอบทำ และที่นี่เองก็ยังเป็นที่ที่พ่อของเขาเจอกับผู้เป็น “แม่” ของแมคเคนซีอีกด้วย ใครจะไปรู้กันว่าเจ้าของธุรกิจผลิตนมและชีสซึ่งเป็นของมีประโยชน์ต่อร่างกาย เมื่อตกเย็นหลังเลิกงานมาจะกลายร่างเป็นหนุ่มนักดื่มเกือบทุกวี่วัน ตั้งแต่จำความได้เขาก็มักจะเห็นพ่อนั่งดื่มน้ำเมาตั้งแต่หัวค่ำพลางมองไปยังริมน้ำอย่างกับพระเอกเอ็มวี พอเขาโตขึ้นมาเรียนเกรด 10 ถึงได้ผันตัวเองจากผู้คอยเฝ้าดูมาเป็นเพื่อนนั่งดื่มกับพ่อซะเลย ซึ่งตอนนั้นเองที่เขาได้รู้เรื่องเกี่ยวกับแม่ตนเอง พ่อมักจะเล่าให้เขาฟังถึงตอนที่พบกับแม่แรก ๆ ดูท่าแม่ของเขาคงเป็นผู้หญิงที่วิเศษมากทีเดียว พ่อถึงได้ไม่ลืมแม่สักที ทั้งยังไม่ยอมมีผู้หญิงอื่นและเลี้ยงเขามาแบบซิงเกิ้ลแดดดี้อีกต่างหาก แต่สำหรับแมคเคนซีที่ไม่เคยเห็นหน้าแม่มาตั้งแต่เกิด เขาไม่อยากออกความคิดเห็นอะไรทั้งนั้น ส่วนใหญ่จึงทำได้เพียงแค่นั่งฟังสิ่งที่พ่อเล่ายิ้ม ๆ โดยไม่พูดอะไร <span style="background-color: transparent; font-variant: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; text-decoration: none; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">       แมคเคนซีเริ่มเจอเหตุการณ์ไม่ปกติตอนอายุ 12 ปี เหมือนว่าเขาจะเห็นคนหรือสัตว์ที่มีรูปร่างแปลกประหลาด แต่สิ่งมีชีวิตพวกนั้นไม่เคยทำอะไรเขา พ่อที่เลี้ยงลูกมาอย่างสนิทสนม มีอะไรคุยกันได้ทุกเรื่องจึงเป็นคนแรกที่แมคเคนซีสนิทใจจะเล่าเรื่องนี้ให้ฟัง และเหมือนว่าพ่อจะรู้อะไรบางอย่างจึงส่งเขาเข้าคอร์สเรียนศิลปะป้องกันตัวขั้นพื้นฐาน แต่แมคเคนซีก็คิดว่ามันไม่สนุกเท่ามวยข้างทางหรอก เขาเลยลงเรียนไปแค่คอร์สเดียว นอกนั้นก็อาศัยลูกบ้ากับของใกล้มือตัวเองในตอนนั้นล้วน ๆ <span style="background-color: transparent; font-variant: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; text-decoration: none; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">       จนเมื่อแมคเคนซีอายุ 18 เขาถูกอสูรกายไล่ล่าครั้งแรก เหตุเกิดเพราะไปช่วยคนที่โดนเจ้าตัวประหลาดนั่นไล่ล่าก่อนหน้านั้นแล้วเปลี่ยนเป้าหมายมาเป็นแมคเคนซีแทน โชคดีที่มีคนมาช่วยไว้แล้วแนะนำให้เขาไปที่ค่ายฮาร์ฟบลัด แมคเคนซีนำเรื่องที่เจอไปเล่าให้พ่อฟัง แมคคอยผู้เป็นพ่อจึงส่งเขาไปเรียนต่อที่มหาวิทยาลัยระดับกลางแห่งนึงในนิวยอร์คราวกับรู้อะไรบางอย่างและตระเตรียมการมาอยู่แล้ว <span style="background-color: transparent;
